Climb for Hope 2026: Summit Kilimanjaro and Change Lives

What if your next adventure could do more than challenge you physically…
What if it could change the future of a child?

In September 2026, we’re inviting you to take on one of the world’s most iconic challenges — climbing Mount Kilimanjaro — and use every step to bring hope to children living in extreme poverty.

Why This Climb Matters

Africa is a continent of breathtaking beauty, vibrant culture, and incredible resilience. But it is also a place where many children face overwhelming challenges — poverty, lack of access to education, and limited healthcare.

Through Christ’s Hope, over 2,000 children across seven African countries receive daily support including meals, education, medical care, and spiritual guidance.

These children are not just being helped — they are becoming what we call “Cycle Breakers”: young people equipped to break the cycle of poverty and build a new future.

This climb is about expanding that impact.

Funds raised through this challenge will support the development of carepoints in Kinshasa (DR Congo) — enabling us to grow from supporting hundreds of children to reaching over 1,000.

That means:

  • More children receiving daily meals
  • More children accessing education
  • More children experiencing care, stability, and hope

This isn’t just a climb. It’s a direct investment in lives.

The Adventure of a Lifetime

From 12–22 September 2026, you’ll journey to Tanzania and take on the famous Machame Route — known for its stunning scenery and excellent acclimatisation.

Highlights include:

  • Trekking through rainforest, alpine desert, and glaciers
  • Reaching Uhuru Peak (19,341 ft) at sunrise
  • Celebrating your achievement with the team
  • Visiting a Christ’s Hope carepoint to see the impact firsthand
  • Optional safari experience in the Serengeti

This is more than a trek — it’s a shared journey with purpose.

Do You Need to Be an Expert?

Not at all.

Kilimanjaro is a non-technical climb, meaning you don’t need mountaineering experience. However, a good level of fitness is important.

We recommend:

  • Regular walking or hiking
  • Building endurance over time
  • Training with a backpack

With the right preparation and support, this is achievable for many people.

The Cost and Commitment

  • Trip cost: approx. £2,200 (excluding flights)
  • Fundraising goal: £5,000–£10,000 per participant

Every pound you raise goes directly to supporting children — not admin or marketing — ensuring your effort creates real, lasting impact.

Fundraising: You Won’t Do It Alone

We’ll support you every step of the way with ideas and guidance.

Participants often:

  • Run social media campaigns
  • Organise local events
  • Partner with businesses
  • Invite friends and family to support

Many find that fundraising becomes one of the most meaningful parts of the journey.

Why Join?

Because this is where challenge meets purpose.

You’ll:

  • Push yourself physically and mentally
  • Be part of a like-minded team
  • Experience Africa in a powerful, personal way
  • See firsthand how your effort changes lives

And when you stand on the summit, you’ll know it meant something far beyond the climb.
