Common Questions
Can I write to my sponsored child?
Yes! You're encouraged to. Our CarePoint staff translate letters and read them with your child. Most sponsors and children exchange letters 2-4 times a year.
What if I need to stop sponsoring?
Life happens. You can pause or cancel at any time through your PayPal account. We'll find another sponsor for your child, and no one is ever "abandoned".
Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?
If you're a UK taxpayer, tick the Gift Aid box when you sign up. HMRC adds 25% on top of your donation at no extra cost to you — your £40 becomes £50 of support.
Will I get photos and updates?
Yes — you'll receive a welcome pack with your child's photo and story, then periodic updates, school reports, and photos throughout the year.
Can I visit my sponsored child?
Many of our sponsors do. We organise vision trips for those who want to meet their child and see a CarePoint in action. Contact us to learn more.
What if the child leaves the programme?
Sometimes children graduate or move with family. We'll introduce you to another child awaiting sponsorship so your generosity continues to make a difference.
