In December 2025 Christ’s Hope Uganda celebrated ten years of caring for children and their families. Here is the team’s news from the last three months of the year.
Ten years of small beginnings
Some of the first children are now young adults. At the anniversary, one of them, who joined in 2016 when he was in Primary 5 and has just finished secondary school, spoke for the others:
“Scripture says we shouldn’t despise small beginnings. What began as something small in our lives has blossomed into a great impact that has transformed our lives. Stories have been rewritten and cycles have been broken.”
He thanked the staff for more than school fees: for mentoring, for teaching godly values, and for skills that give them confidence about the future. His words to the younger children:
“Every setback is a redirection, not a dead end. Don’t look down on yourself, maximise your potential, and remember you may be the only Bible someone will ever read.”

Skills for life after the CarePoint
Before they leave the programme, young people learn a trade they can earn from: tailoring, hairdressing, baking and making liquid soap. The team works with local churches, donors and sponsors to equip each young person for work or their own business.
A free medical camp for the community
As part of the anniversary, the CarePoint held a free medical camp for families nearby who cannot afford a doctor, with check-ups, dental care and health screening.

Support groups, devotions and a talent show
Many of the children come from broken families. In the support groups, children and teenagers talk openly about what they face at home and at school, and learn practical skills, from managing emotions to healthy habits. Children and staff start each day with a devotion together. New clubs help the children find their gifts, and a talent show let them use those gifts in a way that honours God.
Please pray with us
- For the young people who are finishing the programme, as they find work.
- For the families who came to the medical camp.
- For the children in the support groups, for healing and hope.
Stand with these children
Sponsoring a child costs £40 a month. All of it goes to the child’s CarePoint, and it covers the full cost of their care: food, healthcare, schooling, and the care and teaching at the CarePoint.
